************************************************************************* ************************************************************************* Mid-West Raves #2 ************************************************************************* ************************************************************************* Moderators notes: Wow. Week #2 is here already. We've got a ton of subscribers here, I'd say about 75 or so. Most interesting is the geographic distribution: peolpe from the west coast read this, even some in Europe. I don't really understand, but maybe they are planning a vacation or trip to this area. If you know of a future rave in the Mid-West area, please send info to me at this address, and I will include it in the next digest. If it's real important or something, I'll make a special digest. I got very few submissions this week concerning "new" raves. Seriously folks, if you know of one, send me the details as far ahead of time as possible. Check out those flyers in your local dance clubs. If your pals don't post info about a rave, then chances are some of you could go, but may end up watching "Golden Girls" or something instead. Please? So, who is not going to House of Euphoria in Cincinnati this weekend? If you are and want to meet me and say "hi", send me some email. With Moby performing, looks to be a slamming event. The message on their recorder has been changed. The details are: $10 pre-sale (Wizards in Clifton) or $12.50 at the door. It's going to be held at Music Hall in Cincy. I take this as a great sign. The place is huge, old, and very cool. It probably won't be "busted" either, like that recent Milwaukee rave... And for those in the South east region of our country, a SE-Rave list has begun. For more details, read the message digested below, or send email to: DICKENJD@ctrvax.Vanderbilt.Edu Administration: Please remember, if you wish to unsubscribe from this list, or if you have a friend you want to sign up, please send email to this account. This is the only account stuff runs out of. MW-Raves@... doesn't exist. Doing that would require the creation of another account, something not easy to do. Some people have left off the last 't' in ajbennett; my sysadmin has been polite in forwarding bounced mail, but I don't know how long it will continue. So in other words, please try to get it right. Thanks. This list service, done by hand by me, will continue until one of the following conditions is met: - my graduation (May 1993) - a permanent site/host/moderator is found - my sysadmin get's peeved at me (although he did give his approval) Enjoy. On to the submissions..... ************************************************************************** ************************************************************************** From: IN%"myke@terminator.rs.itd.umich.edu" "Michael Dautermann" 14-NOV-1992 13:53:42.63 To: IN%"ajbennett@MIAVX1.ACS.MUOHIO.EDU" CC: Subj: RE: MW-Rave mailing list! okay... you can put me on the rave list. Have you heard about the VOOM rave which is happening in Detroit (in the basement of the "Bank", which is a semi-underground dance place... it can't be underground anymore, even though it's a basement, since the "Bank" has been around for months and I'm sure the cops know about it).
